How to exploit methane-poor biogas

Capstone’s oil-free technology allows the turbogenerators to operate even in the presence of biogas with low methane content and decreasing flow rates over time, making them particularly suitable for an end-of-life landfill.

Biogas treatment

We also offer a service for analysing and/or treating biogas so that its quality characteristics are suitable for feeding into a cogeneration plant:

  • Lower heating value: 20.5 MJ/m3
  • H2O content: 0% liquid, 5% vapour
  • Biogas feed pressure: 5.2 bar
  • H2S content: less than 200 ppmV in input
  • Siloxane content: below 5 ppbV
