Sustainable cogeneration plant for the Rome headquarters of the non-profit organisation

The San Paolo editions of Rome, for their 12,000 m2 headquarters, needed to find a self-supplying energy plant that would allow them to save energy. In total respect of the ethical needs and values of the community housed within the complex, reconciling these with the needs for electricity, heating and hot water. Two Capstone C65 ICHP Grid Connet turbines have been installed, which allow:

  • Jointly produce electrical and thermal energy
  • Increase the efficiency of fossil fuel use (primary energy) by more than 80% (energy efficiency), compared to separate production
  • Save approx. 25-40% fuel
  • Producing 130 kWe of electrical energy and 224 kWth of thermal energy
